In September 2019 we will be launching our brand new mindfulness programme. Working alongside our current active classroom-based workouts, our mindfulness programme will offer children the tools to help them in everyday life. In situations they may be feeling emotions they are finding difficult to deal with too.
As schools across the country begin to trial teaching mindfulness, here at Fitter Future, we are delighted that it is starting to get the attention it warrants. Our programme is aimed at the whole classroom and to give the opportunity for all children to be able to focus on feelings and emotions they maybe haven’t done so before. Just as importantly, they will learn exercises they can use when they feel necessary. Mindful moments including visualisation, breathing exercises and guided tasks will focus on a variety of topics. We will also feature brand new yoga & Pilates workouts too.
“Schools and teachers don’t have all the answers, nor could they, but we know they can play a special role” – Education Secretary, Damian Hinds
Spreading the Message
There are schools across the globe trying to focus on mindfulness and the quicker schools do so, the better. There is a large variety of ways mindfulness can be taught and it is not limited to the classroom. Offering mindfulness alongside our active workouts can give children a range of options on a daily basis. Depending on a child’s state of mind, they can pick what is best for them. Likewise, teachers have the option to pick what is right for their class.
We know the importance of keeping Fitter Future as easy for teachers as possible. Teachers have too little time on their hands to be adding to their workload. With Fitter Future, we ensure our programme to consistently be fun and useful for children. As well as being as straight forward for teachers.
